History of Gaming

Gaming has been a part of our lives, for many many years. As the years grow, the Gaming systems also known as consoles has evolved into the new hottest technology that has became a very popular hobby for many children, and adults.

The very first original game system that was released into the United States was Atari which was brought into in 1977 that ended up being released in the Europe the following year. The Atari Console looked like a little black box, that you hook up a controller to that had a stick to move and a select button on the side. This system was the first system to be able to play by putting it a game cartridge into the console to play that game.

The Nintendo console was invented in 1989 by Japanese business named Fusajiro Yamauchi also known as Nintendo Koppai. The first game for the Nintendo was actually a Card game called Hanafuda. The popular games that came out for the Nintendo are, Techno Football, Punch Out, Zelda, and Double Dragon and of course Mario. Many of these games became popular by many of the kids.

Between 1990 and 1993, Super Nintendo was released in North America, Europe, South America and Australasia. Super Nintendo is a 16-bit console. This means the graphics were more advanced than the original Nintendo. The system had different names in Japan and Southeast Asia calling it Super Famicom and in Korea was called Super Comboy which was supplied by Hyundai Electronics. There were a few versions that worked the same but they couldn’t be compatable with one another.

As years came along, There are a great more different consoles to game with. The most popular consoles in today’s gaming industry is the Sony PlayStation 3, and the XBOX Elite. Wether you like Modern Warefare, Call of Duty or Halo, There are consoles for everything.
In today’s world, Gaming is used for personal entertainment or it could even be something you work for such as the Pro Gamers that go to tournaments for different games, many are around Florida. Some are Game testers, where they try new games and see what the bugs and kinks might be in them and report them.

Gaming is used on Game consoles, Computers, and even portable devices such as a Nintendo DS. So many different Games such as Bejeweled, Call Of Duty, Skyrim, and even Halo 1, 2 and 3 and Reach are some of the biggest games out there. You can find educational games even now days for pre schoolers to to extend their education. Gaming is pretty much found anywhere you go and one of the biggest entertainments there are.
